2006 SEASON STARTS AT SHELSLEY THIS WEEKEND
This weekend sees the first Speed Hill Climb at Shelsley Walsh of the 2006
season. Saturday May 13th and Sunday May 14th sees two separate meetings brim
full of ultra fast road cars and racing cars, including 6 time British Hill
Climb Champion Tony Marsh, former Best Time of Day man Deryk Young and the
fastest Lady to ever ascend the famous 1000 yard hill, Sue Young.
Amongst
the entries on Saturday is a special Porsche class together with a host of
one make classes and drivers new to Shelsley. Sunday will see the Westfield
Speed series together with many classic cars, but a highlight for many will
be the Group B Metro 6R4 of Ken Sims. It really is a monster off the line....
Practice is on the morning of each day starting at 9.30am with a couple of
runs for each car before the competition runs starting at 2.00pm.
