The 2006 Season
NEXT SHELSLEY WALSH IS BIGGEST OF 2006 - CARS & BIKES
The
next round of the British Hill Climb Championship will take place at Shelsley
Walsh over weekend of 19th and 20th of August. Practice is on Saturday and
then the non-stop action is from 10am on Sunday.
Outright
record holder Martin Groves may well repeat his 23.77 second run from last
August when he was en-route to the National title. Should he do that against
the might of the opposition, then he will be edging even closer to another
crwon. However, Scott Moran is closely poised in the standings against Groves
and could easily pounce for a win, but no-one will be more determined than
Mike Dean from Guernsey who has been so close to his first outright win all
the way through 2005 and 2006. Dean’s orange Gould would be a popular
winner should he blitz them.
A
class of bikes will always make the hairs stand up on a few people’s
necks with Hondas, KTMs and Suzukis all doing their little bit of.... Valentino
Rossi!
A few cars will make the trip from France ranging from a historic Bugatti
to a modern single seater in a mirror image move after amny British Competitors
have been over there in recent years.
Shelsley
welcomes The Motor Sports Association Annual Outing with 180 guests too. You
hope you enjoy your day.
Saturday is £8 entry, Sunday £12. Access all areas. Children under 16 free.
Free
parking and seating to watch the cars.
See you there!
