The Shelsley Midsummer and Classic Meetings
17th July 2010 to Sunday 18th July 2010

Shelsley Walsh stages a successful second meeting of the month with Worcestershire drivers the stars

The second July meeting at Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb on the weekend of 17th and 18th July was a success for two local drivers.

On Saturday the Best Time of the Day went to Nigel Morris from Rock in a time of 26.80 seconds, driving his diminutive Suzuki powered DJ Firehawk. Second BTD went to Cornishman Mike Tregoning in a time of 27.11 seconds driving his 2-litre Pilbeam racing car.

Former Midland Hill Climb Champion Peter Cox from nearby Abberley returned for what will probably be his only Shelsley Walsh weekend of the 2010 season and took BTD on Sunday in his historic Chevron racing car named "Old Bendy". His time of 29.05 seconds put him well ahead of second BTD driver Richard Jones who's best time was 30.51 seconds in his equally bhistoric Brabham BT21X.
