What is a classic car?

A superb example of a Vintage car but you don't necessarily need to own one of these to get involved in the Vintage & Classic Section events.

Vintage, Classic and modern sports cars are all welcome and the definition of a Classic is always interpreted in the spirit rather than the letter. Opinions vary but it is generally accepted that it is a car produced over 20 years ago. It does not have to be a sports car, Morris Minors and Ford Anglias are as welcome as E type Jaguars and Austin-Healeys.

We organise three or four runs every year as well as an annual Concours at Shelsley. The runs are non competitive, highly social and great fun. Each run normally involves a visit to places of interest such as motor and aircraft collections, historic houses and gardens and consists of a simple route of 80 miles or so. Navigation instructions are always provided and we haven't lost anyone yet.

These events are growing rapidly in popularity every year and are open to all MAC Members. Some venues are restricted in terms of numbers so it pays to keep an eye on the MAC News and get your entry form and fee in as soon as possible. First come, first served!

Recent runs have involved visits to the Gaydon Heritage Museum, Kemble Airfield , Hergest Croft, a weekend in North Wales, the Bugatti Owners Club at Prescott and Martin Stretton's workshop to name a few.
